you will find
detailed
instructions on
how to
correctly
install your
Aluminum Dead
Pedal.
If you have any
questions during
the install,
don’t hesitate
to give us a
call.
Your aluminum
Dead Pedal will
be installed on
top of the
existing plastic
housing and
securely held in
place by (2)
1/4” flat head
screws and
locking nylon
nuts.
You will need to
remove the
housing and
drill (2) 1/4”
holes. Once the
holes are
drilled,
attach your
newly purchased
Dead Pedal
and reinstall
the housing.
It’s that
simple!

Wrench
- 10mm Deep
Socket & Socket
Wrench
- 1/4" Drill Bit
- 7/16" Socket &
Socket Wrench
With a 10mm deep
socket and
wrench, remove
the (2) nuts
that hold the
dead pedal
housing. A
standard socket
will work if a
"deep" one is
not available.
Here is a
picture of the
Dead Pedal
Housing and
(2) nuts removed
Next hold the
aluminum Dead
Pedal against
the housing and
mark the centers
of each (2)
screw hole.
Leave no less
than (2) ribs
showing at the
top to eliminate
any interference
problems with
the screws.
Next, using and
drill with a
1/4" drill bit.
Drill through
the plastic
housing at the
(2) previously
marked centers.
Once the holes
are drilled,
attached the
"new" aluminum
Dead Pedal to
the housing
using the
supplied (2)
1/4" flat head
screws and nuts.
Tighten using a
5/32" Allen
wrench and 7/16"
socket. Be
careful not to
overtighten and
crack the
plastic. Here is
a picture of the
backside of
the housing with
the screws and
nuts installed.
Once the (2)
flat head screws
are tight,
reinstall the
dead pedal
housing back in
its original
location.
Use the original
(2) 10mm nuts.
