Summary

Congratulations on your purchase.  Below you will find detailed instructions on how to
correctly install your
Aluminum Dead Pedal.  If you have any questions during the install,
don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Your aluminum Dead Pedal will be installed on top of the existing plastic housing  and
securely held in place by (2) 1/4” flat head screws and locking nylon nuts.

You will need to remove the housing and drill (2) 1/4” holes.  Once the holes are drilled,
attach your newly purchased
Dead Pedal and reinstall the housing.

It’s that simple!

Recommended Tools:
- Elite Engineering Aluminum Dead Pedal
- 5/32" Allen Wrench
- 10mm Deep Socket & Socket Wrench
- 1/4" Drill Bit
- 7/16" Socket & Socket Wrench

With a 10mm deep socket and wrench, remove the (2) nuts that hold the dead pedal housing.  A standard socket will work if a "deep" one is not available.

Here is a picture of the Dead Pedal Housing and
(2) nuts removed

Next hold the aluminum Dead Pedal against the housing and mark the centers of each (2) screw hole.  Leave no less than (2) ribs showing at the
top to eliminate any interference problems with the screws.
Next, using and drill with a 1/4" drill bit. Drill through the plastic housing at the (2) previously marked centers.
Once the holes are drilled, attached the "new" aluminum Dead Pedal to the housing using the supplied (2) 1/4" flat head screws and nuts.

Tighten using a 5/32" Allen wrench and 7/16" socket.  Be careful not to overtighten and crack the plastic. Here is a picture of the backside of
the housing with the screws and nuts installed.

Once the (2) flat head screws are tight, reinstall the dead pedal housing back in its original location.
Use the original (2) 10mm nuts.
